Pearl Abyss Publishes Final Crimson Desert Specs for PC, Consoles, and Mac Ahead of March 19 Launch

Pearl Abyss published platform-specific targets to give players clarity on resolution, frame rate, ray tracing before the March 19 launch.

Overview

  • The studio detailed five PC presets from Minimum to Ultra, with every tier requiring 16 GB of RAM and a 150 GB SSD, and targets ranging up to 4K at 60 FPS on Ultra-class GPUs.
  • PS5 and Xbox Series X ship with Performance (1080p/60 FPS, RT Low), Balanced (upscaled 4K/40 FPS), and Quality (upscaled 4K/30 FPS, RT High) modes, using FSR 3 on base hardware.
  • PS5 Pro employs upgraded PSSR for higher fidelity, targeting upscaled 4K at 60 FPS in Performance and 40 FPS in Balanced with ray tracing High, and native 4K/30 FPS with ray tracing Ultra in Quality.
  • Xbox Series S offers 720p/40 FPS in Performance or 1080p/30 FPS in Quality, with ray tracing disabled, underscoring its lower targets versus PS5 and Series X.
  • Pearl Abyss also posted targets for ASUS ROG Ally/Ally X and for macOS using MetalFX and frame interpolation, and Digital Foundry’s first PS5 Pro analysis reports strong results with minor dips and effective PSSR upscaling.
