Paul Boutilier, Islanders Stanley Cup Winner, Dies at 63

The NHL Alumni Association announced his death without disclosing a cause.

HL: BOUTILIER DIES Sydney native Paul Boutilier is shown holding the Memorial Cup as an assistant coach with the Saint John Sea Dogs of the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League. Boutilier died recently at the age of 63, according to a posting from the National Hockey League's alumni association. Boutilier played junior hockey with the Sherbrooke Castors and was selected by the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League in the first round of the 1981 entry draft. He was a member of the Islanders during the team's 1983 Stanley Cup run and played two games in the cup final. He played a total of 213 NHL games with the Islanders, Boston Bruins, Winnipeg Jets, New York Rangers and Minnesota North Stars. In retirement, he coached at multiple levels including junior, senior and professional levels.
