Overview
- MVP (Jake Paul) and Matchroom Boxing (Eddie Hearn) announced a long-term strategic alliance to accelerate the global growth of women's boxing.
- The partnership was made public on Tuesday and was followed within hours by MVP's signing of WBC super-bantamweight champion Skye Nicolson to defend her title on the Aug. 29 MVPW-06 card in Birmingham.
- Promoters say the deal will combine MVP's concentrated stable of female champions with Matchroom's promotion and broadcast networks to create cross-promotional matchups and premium, arena-scale events.
- MVPW-06 on Aug. 29 is an early operational test for the alliance, featuring a three-belt unification headliner (Mikaela Mayer vs. Chantelle Cameron) plus other title fights and a UK-versus-US card.
- The move marks a public reconciliation after prior public disputes and a settled defamation case between Paul and Hearn and builds on past co-promotions such as the Katie Taylor–Amanda Serrano trilogy as a commercial model for bigger women's fights.
