- Patna police acting on information reached Manichak village on the evening of Friday and rescued a youth who had been held after being lured to buy a mobile phone through an online app.
- According to officials, a group of four to six suspects opened fire when officers arrived and police returned fire, leaving an accused identified as Md Haider fatally wounded.
- Md Haider was taken to city hospitals and later died, and police say he had a prior murder case and had been released from jail about three to four months earlier.
