- Late May 2026 reports say Noida International Airport has installed two large-scale works by Padma Shri artist Paresh Maity titled Mystic Abode and Jagriti for permanent display in the terminal.
- Mystic Abode is an immersive roughly 12.5-foot steel structure filled with about 8,000–8,500 brass bells placed in the departure/gates area to create a contemplative, walk-in experience.
- Jagriti (Awakening) is a six-panel, approximately 100×8-foot painting that links North India’s spiritual sites along the Ganga, Yamuna, Saraswati and Saryu rivers through dawn-themed imagery.
- The bell installation was first shown at the St Moritz Art Masters in 2016–17 and has been repurposed for Noida, while the airport uses regional architectural motifs and QR codes to give passengers context for artworks.
- The commission follows Maity’s previous airport work and fits a wider trend of airports using permanent public art to shape traveler experience; the terminal is expected to serve about 12 million passengers in its first phase, according to reports.
