- Xavier Legette was carted off after a hard fall during seven-on-seven drills on Tuesday, trainers tended to him on the field and he was later seen wiggling his fingers and alert before being taken to the locker room.
- Coach Dave Canales said team doctors cleared Legette of a concussion, called the injury a likely stinger and said the club will evaluate him over the next day; Legette will not play in Thursday’s Hall of Fame Game.
- Legette had been a leading candidate for the Panthers’ No. 3 receiver role behind Tetairoa McMillan and Jalen Coker, a role that is now more uncertain after rookie Chris Brazzell was lost for the season with an LCL tear and Nic Scourton suffered a season-ending ACL earlier in camp.
