Palworld 1.0 Set to Launch July 10 With Major Overhaul

The Japanese developer says the full release will deliver rewritten progression, new zones and multiplayer improvements that aim to reset the game’s endgame and social systems.

Overview

  • Pocketpair confirmed version 1.0 will roll out around 12:30 p.m. JST on Friday, July 10, 2026, with estimated global time conversions published and a warning those times are approximate.
  • The update will arrive across PC (Steam and Microsoft Store), Xbox One and Series X|S, and PlayStation platforms and is positioned as the definitive release after roughly 2.5 years in Early Access.
  • Players can keep existing save files but Pocketpair strongly recommends starting a new character because sweeping changes to progression, balance and mechanics will alter the play experience.
  • Version 1.0 adds major new content and systems including the World Tree main story area, Sky Islands, many new Pals, a Genetic Recombination breeding system, reworked raid and boss fights, a revamped Wildlife Sanctuary and server clustering for larger shared worlds.
  • Ahead of 1.0 the game surpassed 40 million players during Early Access, and the studio still faces ongoing legal disputes with Nintendo that previously forced removal of a Pokéball-like summoning mechanic and continue to shape public debate and future design choices.
