Overview
- Pocketpair confirmed version 1.0 will roll out around 12:30 p.m. JST on Friday, July 10, 2026, with estimated global time conversions published and a warning those times are approximate.
- The update will arrive across PC (Steam and Microsoft Store), Xbox One and Series X|S, and PlayStation platforms and is positioned as the definitive release after roughly 2.5 years in Early Access.
- Players can keep existing save files but Pocketpair strongly recommends starting a new character because sweeping changes to progression, balance and mechanics will alter the play experience.
- Version 1.0 adds major new content and systems including the World Tree main story area, Sky Islands, many new Pals, a Genetic Recombination breeding system, reworked raid and boss fights, a revamped Wildlife Sanctuary and server clustering for larger shared worlds.
- Ahead of 1.0 the game surpassed 40 million players during Early Access, and the studio still faces ongoing legal disputes with Nintendo that previously forced removal of a Pokéball-like summoning mechanic and continue to shape public debate and future design choices.
