- President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised General Sahir Shamshad Mirza’s service during separate farewell meetings in Islamabad.

- During a farewell visit to Air Headquarters, the air chief credited Mirza with strengthening tri-service coordination and reaffirmed the Pakistan Air Force’s commitment to close cooperation.
- ISPR said Saudi Chief of General Staff Fayyadh Bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili met Mirza at Joint Staff Headquarters to discuss regional security and deepen defence ties.
- The CJCSC post, created in 1976, ends on November 27 under the new law, and the COAS is set to assume the Chief of Defence Forces position with a five-year term.
