Pakistan Auto Sales Jump in April as FY26 Recovery Gains Pace

Fresh PAMA figures suggest demand is returning through replacement buying, with tractors still weak.

  • - Pakistan’s automakers sold 17,387 passenger cars in April 2026, up 48% from March and 117% from a year earlier, according to the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association.
  • - For the fiscal year to date, car sales reached 127,042 units from July through April, a rise of 52%, and motorcycle volumes in April hit 187,724 units with 41% year-on-year growth.
  • - Pak Suzuki led the market in April with 11,012 vehicles sold, and the Suzuki Alto was the top-selling model at 7,567 units.
  • - Other major assemblers also posted gains in April, including Indus Motor at 4,330 units, Honda Atlas at 2,716, and Hyundai Nishat at 1,002.
