- The public hiring process (OPE) opened on Friday, June 19, with roughly 101,693 people registered to sit the first wave of exams this weekend at the Bilbao Exhibition Center (BEC).
- The full OPE offers 5,425 statutory posts including 2,160 newly created roles, and 3,764 of those posts are covered by the nine largest categories being tested this weekend.
- Osakidetza has denied false notices claiming a Sunday nursing exam would be canceled because of a heatwave and has confirmed the tests will go ahead as scheduled with air conditioning, water points and reinforced emergency services on site.
- Organisers are running complex access and support measures at the BEC, including strict entry rules, staggered pavilion openings, 672 planned adaptation scenarios, sign-language interpreters, adapted materials and lactation cabins.
- The campaign concentrates nearly half of registrants in Bizkaia and draws candidates from other Spanish provinces and abroad, a mobilisation that the health minister says equals roughly 10% of Euskadi’s working population, while the remaining category exams will be held in stages from autumn.
