Osaka Police Dismiss Two Officers in Sex-Video and Data-Leak Cases

Miyagi authorities are also questioning an assistant inspector who admitted following a woman in Sendai.

  • Osaka Prefectural Police referred a 26-year-old constable to prosecutors and fired him for posting and selling sexual videos of his partners under obscene-material and revenge-porn statutes.
  • The constable admitted the conduct, said he was seeking money, priced videos at roughly ¥3,500–5,000 each, and allegedly uploaded about 40 clips between November 2024 and September 2025, earning around ¥150,000.
  • Investigators also sent him to prosecutors on suspicion of voyeuristic filming for allegedly inserting a smartphone into women's skirts on trains in June and August of last year.
  • Osaka police dismissed Assistant Inspector Ryo Kusakawa, 56, who has been arrested and indicted for leaking investigation information and making false inquiries, with 289 improper requests suspected and 26 cases charged.
  • Separately, Miyagi Prefectural Police are conducting voluntary questioning of a 40s assistant inspector over suspected nuisance-ordinance violations in Sendai's Kokubuncho; he is on home leave and had a March 9 promotion and transfer revoked.
