Organised Burglary Gang Jailed for More Than 38 Years After Raids on Luxury UK Homes

Forensic teamwork across forces exposed the network behind the break-ins.

Overview

  • Chester Crown Court sentenced four men and a woman on Monday and Tuesday to terms totalling more than 38 years, with a sixth member due to be sentenced on April 29.
  • Detectives linked the group to at least 59 high‑value burglaries across multiple counties, with stolen goods worth more than £1 million.
  • Police said the gang used Google and Rightmove floorplans to pick affluent targets, then climbed to first‑floor windows to steal jewellery, designer handbags, watches and cash.
  • Coordinated warrants on July 2, 2025 in Walsall, Sutton Coldfield and Birmingham followed evidence tying the cases together through footwear marks, ANPR hits, DNA and phone data.
  • Officers recovered 13 designer handbags, 14 watches and hundreds of images on seized phones, but most property had been sold or melted down, and police are asking victims to claim recovered items.
