Overview
- Operation Kavach 14.0, which ran June 22–24, involved 1,474 police teams and simultaneous raids at 4,035 locations in Delhi and registered 212 NDPS cases with 255 arrests, plus large seizures of cannabis, heroin, cocaine, MDMA and methamphetamine.
- Delhi investigators used the Kavach sweep to break down household-level syndicates, arresting four siblings in Jahangirpuri and seizing 1,300 psychotropic tablets, injections, jewelry and about Rs 22 lakh as suspected proceeds.
- Targeted West District actions under Kavach produced 13 NDPS cases, 16 arrests and recoveries that included roughly 32 kg of ganja and small quantities of cocaine, smack and MDMA, with follow-up probes continuing.
- Separate state operations produced major synthetic and stimulant hauls: Thrissur police recovered a total of 308 g of MDMA and arrested seven after a vehicle check revealed internal concealment, while Assam Rifles and Customs seized about 50,000 methamphetamine tablets in Tripura.
- Ernakulam police linked an 18 kg suspected hybrid ganja seizure to an alleged interstate and international racket and made multiple arrests, and authorities warned that traffickers are adapting with smaller consignments and new concealment methods, so enforcement and financial tracing remain active.
