OpenTable Signs Multi-Year Lease for 24,000+ Sq Ft Toronto Office to Create Canadian Hub

The move signals a deeper commitment to Canada’s restaurant sector by establishing a Toronto engineering and operations node that taps local tech talent.

Overview

  • OpenTable announced on Thursday that it signed a multi-year lease for more than 24,000 square feet at Allied’s 134 Peter Street in downtown Toronto with CBRE facilitating the deal.
  • The new office will serve as a hub for Canadian operations and host global engineering teams focused on product development and back-end infrastructure.
  • Beyond engineering, the space will house Canadian sales, finance, marketing and customer service functions to support local restaurant partners.
  • OpenTable says the office can hold more than 200 employees and has posted roughly 15 Toronto roles, including product manager, senior director of restaurant marketing, senior engineer and revenue strategy analyst.
  • The expansion builds on OpenTable’s Montreal presence and, as part of Booking Holdings, reinforces its support for Canada’s hospitality industry while giving restaurateurs stronger access to its reservation and infrastructure tools.
