Overview
- Opel and Vauxhall revealed the Corsa GSE on Wednesday, publishing performance specs but holding back official range, pricing and full market plans.
- The front-drive hatch uses a single motor with 276–277 hp and 254 lb-ft of torque for a claimed 0–62 mph time of 5.5 seconds and a top speed of 112 mph.
- A 54 kWh battery (51 kWh usable) powers the car, while a limited-slip differential that helps the front wheels find grip, a lower sports suspension, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires and four-piston Alcon front brakes target sharper handling.
- Drivers can pick Sport, Normal or Eco modes, with Sport delivering full power, Normal trimming output to about 228 bhp and Eco capping top speed to save energy.
- The Corsa GSE will appear publicly in October in Paris before sales later in 2026, with outlets reporting no launch in South Africa or Australia.
