OnePlus N6 Revealed With 8,000mAh Battery Ahead of India Launch

The company positions the N6 as a value phone designed for longevity with an 8,000mAh battery, 45W SuperVOOC charging, software optimizations that promise sustained responsiveness.

Overview

  • OnePlus confirmed on June 19 that the N6 will launch in India on June 30 and that the phone packs an 8,000mAh battery which the company says can deliver up to three days of use on a single charge.
  • The firm says the N6 uses silicon-carbon battery cells intended to keep the phone relatively slim and that the battery should retain over 80% health after seven years of regular charging, a claim that still needs independent testing.
  • OnePlus India posted that the N6 supports 45W SuperVOOC fast charging and demonstrated a short-charge video-playback metric, and reporting also suggests the phone will offer reverse wired charging.
  • Early design reveals show a flat display and back, a centred hole-punch selfie camera, and a two-camera rear island, while Geekbench listings point to Android 16, 6GB of RAM, and a MediaTek Dimensity-series chipset.
  • If accurate, the N6’s combination of very large battery, practical fast charging and promised five-year software responsiveness could change value expectations in India’s budget segment, but real-world performance and wider availability will depend on post-launch specs and reviews.
