Overview
- A 23-year-old Bracken Ridge woman driving a Holden Commodore died at the scene after a head-on collision with a black BMW just after 11pm on the Brisbane Valley Highway.
- A 24-year-old Mango Hill man who was a passenger in the Commodore was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital with serious pelvic and leg injuries.
- The BMW driver, a 30-year-old Coominya woman, was also taken to hospital, with outlets reporting conflicting assessments of the severity of her injuries.
- Queensland Police are investigating reports the Commodore had been seen hooning with a group in the area shortly before the crash.
- Police have issued a public appeal for eyewitnesses and relevant dashcam footage, and no charges have been reported at this stage.
