Omoda Jaecoo Sets January Australia EV Launch as Chery Sub-Brands Open Pakistan Sales

Long warranties with fast-charge LFP batteries anchor the market push in both countries.

  • Omoda Jaecoo confirms the all-electric Jaecoo J5 for Australian showrooms in January 2026, with petrol and hybrid versions slated to follow in March.
  • The J5 EV uses a 61.1kWh LFP battery and a 155kW front motor for a claimed 402km WLTP range, with a 30–80% DC fast-charge time of 28 minutes.
  • Standard J5 equipment includes V2L capability, dual screens, heated and ventilated front seats, a driver-assist suite and an eight-year, unlimited-kilometre vehicle and battery warranty with capped-price servicing.
  • In Pakistan, the Omoda E5 is listed at PKR 8,990,000 with a PKR 1,700,000 booking and an estimated 2.5-month delivery, using a 61kWh LFP battery with a manufacturer-claimed 505km NEDC range.
  • Pakistan also sees the Jaecco J6 launch in three variants priced at PKR 8.799M–10.799M, following Chery’s partnership with local distributor NextGen Auto of the Nishat Group.
