Olivia Rodrigo’s New Album Debuts at No. 1 With Biggest Solo Opening of 2026

Strong physical sales together with heavy streaming drove the record’s huge launch and set the release up as the commercial centerpiece for Rodrigo’s planned global tour.

Overview

  • Rodrigo’s third studio album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 485,000 equivalent album units in the tracking week ending June 18.
  • The first-week total included 273,000 traditional album sales, 211,000 streaming-equivalent units equal to about 218.41 million on-demand streams, and 1,000 TEA units.
  • Physical formats powered the launch with 164,000 vinyl purchases and more than 15 physical variants offered, including two signed editions that boosted first-week sales.
  • The debut ended Drake’s four-week run at No. 1 as ICEMAN fell to No. 2, and the album also opened at No. 1 in the U.K. with 103,000 chart units and topped Australia’s ARIA chart.
  • The result marks Rodrigo’s third consecutive Billboard 200 No. 1 and her largest debut yet, continuing a trend of growing first-week totals and positioning the project to drive demand for the Unraveled Tour starting Sept. 25.
