Overview
- A train stopped at Anand Vihar after an overhead electrification (OHE) fault, and train services between Anand Vihar and Vaishali were affected from 5:20 PM to 6:43 PM on Tuesday.
- Delhi Metro halted services on the affected section while running single-line operations between Yamuna Bank and Anand Vihar and kept the Noida Electronic City–Dwarka Sector 21 section running normally.
- DMRC crews completed restoration work and posted on X that normal Blue Line services had resumed at 6:43 PM.
- Videos and passenger reports show long queues and hundreds of commuters stranded during evening peak as trains slowed or stopped on one of the network’s busiest corridors.
- The Blue Line links Dwarka Sector 21 with Noida Electronic City and Vaishali, so brief OHE faults can cause outsized delays and crowding, and DMRC has not yet released technical details or a root-cause report.
