Overview
- Hao Mart, its founder Dr Tan Kim Yong, and his wife Teo Siew Ling filed a Jan 16 lawsuit against OG and Adam Nicholas Emilianou seeking S$57.5 million for alleged conspiracy to damage the business.
- The dispute stems from a S$66.2 million facility dated Aug 4, 2023 that created a mortgage over the couple’s Good Class Bungalow at 17–19 Jervois Hill.
- Plaintiffs say OG objected to redeeming the mortgage despite an OCBC S$57.5 million offer dated Sep 25, 2025, issued a demand, and appointed a receiver, with delivery of the property sought by Feb 6.
- A Dec 8, 2025 consent order granted OG possession of the Taste Orchard premises by Dec 31, and Business Times reporting indicates the mall has since been vacated.
- The suit seeks declarations enabling redemption of the mortgage and to restrain enforcement, while Dentons Rodyk says it will defend the claims and plaintiffs cite an alleged Oct 23 WhatsApp message as evidence of motive.
