Odisha Sets April 1 Start for Electoral Roll Revision After 90% Mapping

Officials will use the 2002 voter list as the baseline to reconcile the 2025 roll before formal registration begins.

Overview

  • CEO R. S. Gopalan said 90% of voters have been identified and mapped, with efforts underway to cover the remaining 10%.
  • Booth Level Officers are contacting residents for field verification, while voters can self-check via ECINET, the Voter Service Portal, the CEO Odisha website and the ECINET mobile app.
  • The mapping cross-checks names, relatives’ names, age or date of birth, polling station and part numbers, along with EPIC details.
  • Voters unable to find their own entries in the 2002 list may map using parents’ or grandparents’ details, and no Aadhaar or other documents are required.
  • Odisha’s 2024 final roll lists 3.32 crore electors, and authorities urged citizens—especially in urban areas—to verify their details on both the 2002 and 2025 lists.
