- Officials reported on Friday that about 1.34 million people in seven districts have been affected and 487,350 people have been evacuated into 880 relief shelters.
- The Subarnarekha at Rajghat peaked at 11.82 metres on Thursday, above the danger mark of 10.36 metres, flooding Baliapal, Bhograi and Jaleswar and causing embankment breaches.
- State and national teams have mobilised large relief operations with 126 response teams including 32 ODRAF and eight NDRF teams, 210 boats and 93 medical teams conducting rescues and health camps.
