Odisha Clears Rs 44,241 Crore for 10 Projects Across Eight Districts

  • At the 44th HLCA meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, the state approved 10 proposals spanning renewables, semiconductors, rare earth magnets, advanced manufacturing, cement, and digital infrastructure.
  • Four pumped‑storage hydropower projects won clearance: Adani in Nayagarh (Rs 9,731.47 crore), Sangamam in Koraput (Rs 9,000 crore), Greenko in Kalahandi (Rs 7,506.94 crore), and Jindal in Deogarh (Rs 3,711.56 crore).
  • ASP Semicon will invest Rs 4,620 crore in Khurda for a semiconductor memory‑chip module plant expected to create about 2,500 direct jobs.
  • Bharat Forge plans a Rs 3,000 crore unit in Dhenkanal for automotive, aerospace, and defence components with around 1,000 jobs, while Magnova proposes Rs 1,050 crore for a high‑performance magnet facility in Khurda.
  • NCL Industries and Dalmia Cement will invest Rs 2,000 crore each in Koraput and Malkangiri, and Shreetech Data will build a Rs 1,622 crore cable landing station in Puri, with total employment projected at about 8,765.
