Odisha Clears 23 Industrial Projects Worth Rs 4,111.80 Crore, Targeting Nearly 10,000 Jobs

Clearances through the single-window process aim to spread investment across 11 districts for a broader industrial base.

Overview

  • The approvals came at the 144th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg.
  • The package is expected to create about 9,924 jobs across sectors including aerospace and defence (drones), rail components, shipbuilding and repair, textiles, pharmaceuticals and hospitality.
  • Nipha Ltd will invest Rs 384 crore in a railway component manufacturing unit in Khordha.
  • Inventgrid India will set up a Rs 300 crore Advanced Multi-Drone Manufacturing Centre in Ganjam, projected to employ 1,000 people.
  • Northern Express Infradevelopers won approval for a Rs 339.40 crore shipbuilding and repair facility in Bhadrak, expected to add about 507 jobs, while hotel projects in Khordha (MK Assets, Rs 210 crore) and Puri (Manjeera Hotels, Rs 200 crore) and a Rs 100 crore J.G. Hosiery unit in Khordha are among other key clearances.
