- Hacendado (Mercadona) topped the rankings with 70 out of 100 and the highest tasting scores, while Auchan/Alcampo won the OCU’s 'Compra Maestra' for value with 65 points and a lower price per litre.
- Carrefour Classic, Eroski and Vicasol Delicias scored highest on the OCU’s health scale with 90 out of 100, reflecting better ingredient profiles and nutrition labels.
- The OCU found that none of the samples qualified as ultraprocessed but 23 of 30 failed the gastronomic tasting because of defects such as pimiento or fried‑tomato off‑flavours, bits of skin, and poorly broken bread.
