Overview
- Oakridge Park, which opened to the public Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 11 a.m., attracted large lines and heavy foot traffic on its first day.
- QuadReal opened roughly 500,000 square feet of retail from a planned more-than-650,000-square-foot shopping component, hosting about 100 retailers and restaurants anchored by a 50,000-square-foot Time Out Market with about 1,000 seats and 20 vendors.
- To manage crowds, the mall is offering 2,000 free underground stalls with three hours complimentary parking, paid valet at two P1 locations, advanced parking wayfinding, and a temporary overflow lot at 949 West 41st Ave. with shuttles or a roughly 10-minute walk for the first four days.
- Several neighbourhood-serving anchors, including a 50,000-square-foot Safeway and a 25,000-square-foot Signature BC Liquor Store, are set to open weeks after launch, and the 100,000-square-foot civic centre with the Oakridge library remains scheduled for 2027 while Oakridge-41st Avenue Station upgrades continue with full completion expected this summer.
