Overview
- The vegetation fire began just before 7 p.m. Friday near the 10,000 block of Skyline Boulevard by Joaquin Miller Park and was contained to about half an acre in under an hour.
- Oakland Fire requested a second alarm and, with mutual aid from Contra Costa Fire and Cal Fire, more than 50 firefighters plus helicopters were deployed to stop forward progress.
