NYPD Seeks Suspect Who Rode Off With $5,000 Motorized Wheelchair From Bronx Building

The loss of an essential mobility device can leave the owner stranded.

  • The suspect, seen on surveillance video, entered a Bronx lobby and pulled a motorized wheelchair from under a stairwell at 2:11 a.m. on April 21st before riding away.
  • The device, valued at about $5,000, was taken from an apartment building at 888 Grand Concourse near East 161st Street.
  • Police said the person wore black pants, a blue sweatshirt, a black vest, a black backpack, and a blue hat with large eyes, a grin, and multicolored fabric spikes.
