NY Corrections Supervisor, Partner Indicted in Child Sex Trafficking and Robbery Case

Prosecutors say the DOCCS supervisor used her position to aid a trafficking scheme now under expanded investigation.

Overview

  • The Manhattan DA announced Tuesday an indictment charging Deanna Dicastro, 39, and Gilliam Cordero, 38, with sex trafficking of a child, first-degree robbery, and promoting prostitution.
  • At arraignment, both pleaded not guilty, Cordero was remanded, and a judge set Dicastro's bail at $500,000 cash, $750,000 bond, or a $1 million partially secured surety bond.
  • Court filings say the pair used the hookup site Megapersonals to post ads starting October 8, 2025, then sent an underage girl to hotels in Manhattan and the Bronx and told her to take set payments from men.
  • Prosecutors allege the operation ran through January 2026 across Manhattan, the Bronx, and near Rome and Utica, with proceeds flowing through Dicastro’s accounts and a transport car registered to her.
  • The DA’s office says Dicastro, a DOCCS supervisor licensed to carry firearms with ten pistols in her name, leveraged her status, and it urges tips to its Human Trafficking Unit as the probe continues.
