NWS Issues Extreme Heat Alerts Across Southern California, Southern Nevada and Northwest Arizona Through Sunday

  • NWS Las Vegas posted an Extreme Heat Warning through 8 p.m. Sunday with temperatures up to about 102°F across parts of northwest Arizona, southeast California and southern Nevada.
  • NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard issued an Extreme Heat Warning for the Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo mountain ranges through Friday with highs in the 90s to near 100.
  • A separate Heat Advisory from the same office covers Central Coast beaches and valleys through Friday with highs mainly in the 80s and 90s.
  • NWS San Diego announced a Heat Advisory for the Inland Empire through Friday with highs in the upper 90s to 104°F, plus an Extreme Heat Warning for the San Gorgonio Pass through Saturday with 98–108°F.
