Nvidia Unveils GeForce Now Upgrades at GDC: 90fps VR Streaming, GOG Linking and Cloud Playtests

The update prioritizes smoother access across services to simplify play for users, giving studios easier testing.

Overview

  • Starting March 19, GeForce Now Ultimate members can stream to supported VR headsets at 90 frames per second, up from 60 fps, on devices like Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest.
  • Account linking expands with GOG and Gaijin support, with game library syncing for GOG and single sign-on to streamline jumping in from services such as Xbox Game Pass and Ubisoft+.
  • In-app labels are rolling out to show which titles are playable via connected subscriptions once accounts like Xbox or Ubisoft are linked.
  • A new Cloud Playtest tool enables secure internal, external and press playtests from the cloud with capture of gameplay, webcam and controller inputs, with Activision, Ubisoft, Warner Bros. Games and Xbox Game Studios participating.
  • Content additions include cloud-optimized titles such as Active Matter, Samson: A Tyndalston Story, Control Resonant, Crimson Desert and Resident Evil Requiem, plus select Xbox games joining the Install-to-Play library, including Brutal Legend, Quantum Break and Contrast.
