Nvidia Launches NemoClaw to Harden OpenClaw Agents for Enterprise Use

Early access software introduces OpenShell sandboxing to bring autonomous agents under enterprise policy control.

Overview

  • Nvidia unveiled NemoClaw as an OpenClaw-based stack that installs Nemotron models and the open-source OpenShell runtime in a single command to enforce policy-based network, privacy and security guardrails.
  • The platform supports local and cloud models, running on GeForce RTX PCs, RTX PRO workstations, and DGX systems, with a privacy router to access frontier models while keeping data controls in place.
  • Nvidia developed the stack with OpenClaw founder Peter Steinberger and is coordinating with Cisco, CrowdStrike, Google and Microsoft Security to align OpenShell with existing security tooling.
  • NemoClaw is available in alpha/preview, and Nvidia warns developers to expect rough edges as the initial release focuses on setup rather than production deployment.
  • The move targets risks exposed by OpenClaw’s rapid spread, following reported incidents and institutional restrictions, including advisories for Chinese state enterprises and workplace bans at companies such as Meta.
