NVIDIA Adds RTX Suite to Gears of War: E-Day

The partnership pairs NVIDIA RTX technologies with The Coalition’s Unreal Engine 5 rebuild to push visual fidelity ahead of the game’s staged beta and October launch.

Overview

  • NVIDIA announced support for DLSS Super Resolution, DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, NVIDIA Reflex, and hardware ray tracing for Gears of War: E-Day in a technical partnership revealed on Tuesday, July 14.
  • The Coalition rebuilt the game from scratch in Unreal Engine 5 and used UE5.7’s MegaLights, Nanite and Lumen to enable hundreds of dynamic lights and high-detail scenes as a visual showcase.
  • Early multiplayer access is scheduled to open for pre-order customers and PC Game Pass subscribers on August 6, with a full release set for October 6, 2026.
  • NVIDIA and The Coalition say the RTX features aim to boost frame rates, image quality, and input responsiveness on GeForce RTX GPUs, but the companies have not published in-game frame-rate targets or detailed performance numbers yet.
  • The announcement ties technical work to marketing plans, including a GeForce Summer Nights RTX 5080 giveaway, and sets expectations that the upcoming beta will be the first chance for public performance testing.
