- Warwickshire Police said Mohammad Kabir’s aiding and abetting rape charge was amended to committing an offence with intent to commit a sexual offence.
- Police said Ahmad Mulakhil was additionally arraigned on one count of taking indecent photos of a child.
- Hearings on January 26 and 27 did not progress after an unrelated case over-ran, so a jury has yet to be sworn.
- Proceedings are now scheduled to begin on Thursday, January 29, at Warwick Crown Court in Leamington Spa under Her Honour Judge Kristina Montgomery KC.
- Mulakhil, 23, previously admitted one rape count and denies the remaining charges, Kabir, 24, denies all counts; both are Afghan nationals and the 12-year-old complainant is legally anonymised.
