Overview
- The original NEET-UG held on May 3 was cancelled by the NTA on May 12 after allegations of a paper leak and the Central Bureau of Investigation opened a criminal probe that has led to arrests and ongoing inquiries.
- A nationwide mock drill was carried out on Saturday, June 20 to test CCTV, jammers, frisking, biometric systems and the chain of custody ahead of the re-examination set for Sunday, June 21.
- The NTA has deployed more than 2 lakh staff and installed 1,38,560 CCTV cameras and 51,311 jammers, with GPS-escorted transport, IAF flights for sealed papers and CRPF/CISF escorts for OMR and answer-sheet movement.
