Overview
- The National Testing Agency issued admit cards on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, for UGC NET exams scheduled on June 22, 23, 24, 25, 29 and 30.
- Candidates must download their hall ticket from ugcnet.nta.nic.in using application number and date of birth or password and verify the exam centre, date, shift and reporting time.
- The UGC NET will be held as a computer-based test in two daily shifts with a single three-hour session that includes Paper I (50 questions, 100 marks) and Paper II (100 questions, 200 marks); each question carries two marks and there is no negative marking.
- If candidates face discrepancies or cannot download the admit card they should contact the NTA helpdesk at 011-40759000 or write to ugcnet@nta.ac.in before appearing for the exam.
- UGC NET determines eligibility for Assistant Professor and for Junior Research Fellowship; JRF awards are valid for three years from the date of the award letter and require joining a PhD programme to receive fellowship benefits.
