NSW Police Charge 23-Year-Old Over Alleged Plot to Kill Gang Figure

Police point to forensic links from a stolen Audi to connect her to a string of public shootings.

Overview

  • Detectives arrested the 23-year-old at a home in Whalan and charged her with conspiring to murder and participating in a criminal group, and she was refused bail to face Mt Druitt Local Court.
  • Investigators say the case grew from an April pursuit of an allegedly stolen Audi on the M4, where officers seized a semi-automatic rifle, a pistol and cloned number plates.
  • Three men aged 28 and 24 were arrested after that chase and were charged, and their matters remain before the courts.
  • Strike Force Subbard reports forensic work linking the seized Audi and plates to four public shootings in Colyton, St Johns Park and Panania earlier this year.
  • Police allege the woman coordinated serious crimes that included shootings and staging vehicles, and they say further forensic and phone tracing may refine links as the investigation continues.
