- Visitors can load a prepaid wallet using international debit or credit cards without an Indian bank account or mobile number.
- Merchant payments run on UPI by scanning standard QR codes through the participating PPI-UPI application.
- Caps apply during the trial: up to ₹25,000 per transaction and ₹50,000 per month, with unused balances refundable to the original card.
- Enrollment points include New Delhi International Airport and an NPCI counter at Bharat Mandapam; NPCI has not specified the pilot’s duration and says some countries are excluded under regulatory guidance.
