Nova Scotia Storm Cleanup Continues With 23,000 Still Without Power

  • Police responded to numerous crashes, closing Highway 102 southbound at Exit 10 and Highway 118 outbound on Monday, and briefly shutting Highway 111 inbound on Tuesday due to black ice.
  • Schools and several university campuses closed Monday, Halifax transit ran snow plans and HRM rescheduled solid waste pickup to Saturday, Jan. 24, while localized outages in Cape Breton affected about 2,193 customers along the Louisbourg Highway and Highway 255.
