Overview
- Nottingham Forest confirmed on Tuesday that Ibrahim Sangare has signed a new contract, with reporting that the deal runs until the summer of 2029.
- Sangare thanked supporters after signing and chief football officer George Syrianos praised his leadership, dressing-room influence and continued development at the City Ground.
- The 28-year-old moved from PSV Eindhoven in September 2023 for a reported fee of about £30 million and has grown into a key central midfielder for Forest.
- Sangare played a major role in Forest’s 2025–26 campaign, making 43 appearances including 14 in the Europa League as the club reached the semi-finals, and he also featured for Ivory Coast at the 2026 World Cup.
- The deal comes as Forest reshape their squad this summer with the sale of Elliot Anderson to Manchester City and the arrival of Xaver Schlager, and it secures an experienced midfield presence for Glasner to build around this season.
