Nothing OS 4.1 Rolls Out to Phone (3) With Essential Voice and Lock-Screen Upgrades

The phased release signals a push for feature parity across the lineup.

Overview

  • Nothing OS 4.1 is now available for Phone (3), bringing the same Android 16–based build that ships on the Phone (4a) series.
  • Essential Voice debuts with tools that clean background noise from voice notes and translate speech in real time.
  • Users get a new lock-screen clock with more customization and Live Updates that surface on the lock screen, notification shade, and the rear Glyph lights.
  • The release also adds a cleaner Essential Notifications layout, the April 2026 security patch, better audio call quality on Nothing earbuds, and steadier video calls in third-party apps.
  • Nothing says the update will reach Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro, Phone (2a), Phone (2), CMF Phone 1, and CMF Phone 2 Pro later this month, with Phone (3a) Lite following early next month, and some features arriving later on those models after feedback.
