Overview

  • Aleksander Aamodt Kilde pulled out of Milano-Cortina after concluding he could not regain full fitness following recent back problems.
  • Fredrik Moeller crashed during the first men’s downhill training run on the Stelvio in Bormio and was taken to hospital.
  • Team doctor Trond Floberghagen said Moeller dislocated his left shoulder, suffered no other injuries and responded well to treatment, with participation still uncertain.
  • Kilde’s decision follows a long recovery from his 2024 Wengen crash that led to multiple operations and a shoulder infection that became sepsis before his November return.
  • Norway’s men reassessed their lineup and medal hopes with racer Adrian Smiseth Sejersted noting the team could be down to two starters as the downhill is scheduled for February 7.
