Overview
- Uttar Pradesh, which opened wheat buying on Monday, has 3,574 centres running, a higher MSP of Rs 2,585 per quintal, a 50 lakh metric tonne target, and promises DBT payments within 48 hours.
- Punjab begins wheat procurement on April 1 with 1,897 notified centres, a 122 LMT target, and a bank credit line of Rs 30,973 crore to finance purchases.
