Northcott Unveils Program for Milwaukee’s 55th Juneteenth Celebration

• Northcott Neighborhood House released the full 2026 lineup under the theme “Honor the Past, Empower the Future,” describing a month of cultural, educational and fundraising events.
• Signature events announced include the Mr. and Miss Juneteenth Scholarship Pageant on June 6 and the Freedom Ball fundraiser on June 12.
• Taste of Juneteenth returns on June 20 in partnership with Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. and Summerfest to offer food and music programming tied to the city’s summer festival circuit.
• Organizers named longtime educator and historian Reuben Harpole as grand marshal and confirmed TMJ4 will broadcast the city’s Juneteenth parade from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
• The celebration marks a 55-year community tradition that organizers say draws roughly 70,000 people and uses scholarships and civic events to promote youth leadership and neighborhood investment.
