North Wales Woman Sentenced to 34 Weeks for Sexually Assaulting Bus Driver

The sentence extends her custody past her release date with sex offender reporting set for seven years.

Overview

  • Judge Timothy Petts, sentencing Monday at Caernarfon Crown Court, gave Siobhan Webb a further 34 weeks in prison after guilty pleas and ordered seven years on the sex offenders register with £100 compensation to each victim.
  • The assault happened as the bus reached Abergele after the driver asked Webb’s group to calm down because they were drinking and disturbing passengers, and she grabbed his genitals.
  • When police arrived, Webb spat at a female officer and used racist and homophobic slurs, resulting in convictions for assaulting an emergency worker and a racially aggravated public order offence.
  • Victim statements told the court the driver felt anxious and distressed and the officer felt inferior and appalled after being spat on.
  • Court records show 28 convictions for 52 offences and a two-year term imposed in March 2026, which informed a high-risk finding and the decision to extend her custody beyond her release date.
