Authorities have opened cause-and-origin investigations following a cluster of deadly fires in the region.

  • Fire crews responded around 4:45–5 a.m. Thursday to a two-story rowhouse on the 6200 block of Ogontz Avenue and found a 60-year-old woman who later died.
  • Roughly 60 firefighters, medics, and support staff were on scene as crews brought the initial blaze under control.
  • The fire reignited around 11:30 p.m. Thursday, drawing firefighters back to the property, and no additional injuries were reported.
