No Rest for the Wicked to Exit Early Access and Launch on PS5 and PC in October 2026

The studio says the staged rollout reflects optimisation challenges on the lower‑spec Xbox Series S and the resource limits of a small development team.

Overview

  • Moon Studios announced during Tuesday’s PlayStation State of Play that No Rest for the Wicked will leave Early Access and ship as version 1.0 for PC (Steam) and PlayStation 5 in October 2026.
  • Version 1.0 adds more than 60 hours of new content, the full 15 hand‑crafted regions, a reworked class and progression system, a horde mode, new bosses and endgame activities, and the campaign finale.
  • The studio confirmed cross‑play and cross‑save between PC and PS5 at launch and persistent multiplayer that preserves private realms and progress when hosts are offline.
  • Moon Studios is offering a free Early Access Founder’s Pack to PC buyers who purchase before July 10, 2026 and to PS5 players who pre‑order, with in‑game rewards and access to a founder beta realm.
  • Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2 ports are in development but delayed, with director Thomas Mahler saying optimisation for the Series S is a primary reason for the staggered release, and exact timing remains TBD.
