  • St. John’s improved to 16-5 overall and 9-1 in the Big East with a wire-to-wire 92-70 win, marking its seventh consecutive victory.
  • Dillon Mitchell posted 14 points, 13 rebounds, four assists and three blocks, while Ian Jackson led with 18 points and Zuby Ejiofor added 15 points, six rebounds, five assists and three blocks.
  • The Red Storm scored their first 20 points in the paint, finished with 46 inside, shot 56% from the field and went 9-for-20 from three after an 0-for-7 start.
  • St. John’s limited Butler’s Finley Bizjack to 11 points, completed a regular-season sweep and recorded its eighth straight win over the Bulldogs.
  • Before tipoff, the program recognized Rick Pitino’s 900th on-court Division I win; the victory moved him to 901, and he later said his goal is to reach 1,000.
