N.J. Nurse Arrested After Setting Fires at Home, Car and Workplace

The incidents prompted rapid police and fire responses with investigators now probing motive.

  • Officials say the suspect intentionally set a fire in his Gloucester Township apartment, then set his vehicle ablaze outside his Winslow Township workplace before entering the building.
  • Surveillance footage reportedly shows the 25-year-old carrying a gasoline can and investigators say he doused the lobby of Oaks Integrated Care and tried to ignite it while making threats to coworkers.
  • Police allege the suspect briefly confined one coworker in an office and that numerous employees were inside the center when the incident occurred, but no one was injured.
  • The suspect was arrested at the scene and charged with attempted murder, aggravated arson, terroristic threats and related offenses and is being held at the Camden County Correctional Facility pending a detention hearing.
